HTC teases the India launch of the M10

HTC teases the India launch of the M10HTC was expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone - M10 at the Mobile World Congress but that didn't happen. Perhaps, the company did not want to divert the attention from the Vive headset or they thought that they might want to space out the launch from that of Samsung and LG.

Whatever may be the case, we still know that the HTC M10 is on its way. Yesterday, our counterparts in UK talked about the phone being teased and today it is our turn to receive the teaser.

All the teaser (it's not an invite) says is "Power of 10" against the chamfered edge of a phone in relief. The subject line reads: Block the date, much like it would do for any invite but it doesn't mention any date so as of now we can just speculate that HTC might thinking of doing a simultaneous launch in a few countries including India and UK.

Our biggest clue about the device - aside from it almost certainly being called the One M10 - is that it will have sharper edges than the HTC One M9. Like the Ms before it, the M9 has rounded edges, but it looks like the M10 will depart from that design aesthetic.

In recent weeks we've reported on a device under the codename "Perfume," which could very well end up being the HTC One M10. Our source provided in-depth, albeit rumored, specs for the phone. It's said to be stocked with the Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM, and will run Android Marshmallow.

While we've heard about what will be ticking on the inside before, today's image is our first real hint at the handset's looks.

HTC's email tells us to stay tuned for more, so further details, like a launch date, time and place, are likely due before long.
