To transform a standard 1957 Chevrolet pickup truck into Quiksilver, the team at Oklahoma's Hot Rod Garage spent five years rebuilding the car. Under the hood is a 540-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Chevrolet V-8 engine with electronic fuel injection and a claimed 650 hp. A unique dashboard sits inside the truck's cabin, along with custom gauges, a new steering wheel, and one-off pedals. The bench seat was upholstered from 10 hides of Mercedes leather. Other neat details include shaved door handles, LED taillights, a two-tone paint job, a one-off front grille design, and custom red-painted suspension with a limited-slip differential.
While no price has been listed for Quiksilver when it heads to auction, expect its extensive list of modifications and its long list of awards to help push bidding higher. For more on the 1957 Chevrolet pickup truck, read a full profile story by our colleagues at Hot Rod.
